The Woman I Admire Most

by Armani Johnson ’23

The woman I admire most in the world is my mother. She is kind hearted, hard-working, reliable and responsible, and so much more that I admire.

I admire my mother first and foremost because she’s such a great parent. Ever since I was born she took care of me the best she could. Due to me being the youngest child, my mother put me and my needs first. She’d try to put me in the best environments and expose me to better. My mother made sure religion was an active asset in my home. She’d educate me about the Lord, take me to Church every Sunday, and have me read the bible.

My mother would keep me in clean clothes, make sure I had a meal every morning and every night, and made sure I was comfortable. My mother pushes me throughout all of my schooling to work hard, keep my grades up, take advantage of what I’m being taught, and put it to actual use later on in life. My mother put me in various programs as a child so I could have hobbies. Programs such as saxophone classes, piano classes, english classes, basketball classes, martial arts, and boxing when I was younger.

She’d always try to keep me disciplined, happy, and productive. My mother never supported unproductivity and her work ethic motivated me to be just like her. My mother has made many sacrifices for me to be at a place of success and for me to do good.

Simply, every day  I’m thankful for and appreciative of my mom, and everything she does for me and all those she loves.
