It’s a new year and with a new year can come a new you!
It’s a great time to get fit and begin the new year off with a fresh start. At minimum, a teenager should have 30 minutes of exercise 3 times a week.
Some of the benefits of teenagers working out would be beneficial to the cardiorespiratory system, build strong muscles and bones, control weight, reduce anxiety and stress and also build confidence.
Working out releases stress-busting endorphins and lowers the body’s production of stress hormones. It improves thinking and memory skills, which helps in school and social situations.
Exercise also reduces the risk of depression, and helps teens feel more energetic and have a positive outlook on life.
Working out can also reduce the risk of developing health conditions such as heart disease, high blood pressure, and abnormal cholesterol levels.
Below you will find a teen workout video, as well a sample workout routine. No equipment is required for either!
Good luck and say hello to a new and healthier you!
